Product Description
Designed to meet the standards of harsh marine environments and suitable for varied applications such as electrical control flooring, platforms, catwalks, bilges, and drain troughs. Made of a non-wear synthetic polyester resin which is resistant to salt water corrosion and will withstand contact with acid or industrial chemicals. Although FRP grating is much lighter and easier to handle than metal gratings (18.5), when compared with iron and aluminium on a scale of strength, iron is about 5.4, aluminium is 7, and FRP is 15. This grating is very easy to work with and install wherever it is required, whether in the engine room, on staircases, or on walkways on deck. FRP is indispensable on tankers because it is a non spark, inflammable surface which can be used in situations where it undergoes continual friction with metal surfaces. FRP has no magnetic properties and will not conduct electricity. Will be supplied in gray unless otherwise specified. When ordering, please specify the material and size you require. If no specific size is necessary, it is suggested that you order the grating by sheet.
